First-year apprentices from Bendalls, NW Total, Chirton Engineering and Stolle Europe recently embarked on an unforgettable journey to The Outward Bound Trust Eskdale! Despite the challenging tasks and unpredictable weather, they showcased incredible teamwork and resilience, while also discovering more about themselves and gaining confidence.
This adventure marks the second of many Outward Bound expeditions, now a yearly staple in our apprenticeship program. Our objectives for these expeditions are:
Explore professional workplace behaviours and motivations essential for high consequence roles.
Identify and practice how to communicate effectively and improve interpersonal skills.
Understand the importance of continuous professional development and formulate an action plan to support their development.
As we celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, we’re immensely proud to witness their growth first-hand. Here’s to our apprentices for embracing challenges, fostering communication, and embodying the spirit of adventure!
