Apprentice Zak has been busy crafting a shelter designed for spectators at the Silloth Bowling Club.
Instead of seeking payment for his efforts, the decision was made for the bowling club to contribute a donation to the Eden Valley Hospice & Jigsaw Children’s Hospice as a gesture on behalf of the Carr’s Engineering Skills Academy in association with Lakes College.
Yesterday, Zak, accompanied by his tutor and mentor, Jim Hunter, made a visit to the hospice, presenting them with a generous donation of £300.
