Last week at Bendalls, we had the pleasure of hosting Dream Placement week in collaboration with the Centre for Leadership Performance. This year, we welcomed Mischa from The Nelson Thomlinson School in Wigton to explore the world of Mechanical Engineering. Throughout her time here, Mischa received valuable insights into Sales, Estimating, and Project Management. Ed Kelso from our Design Team provided guidance as Mischa navigated through a CAD design, which she then manufactured in our skills Academy and subjected to DPI inspection, which it passed! We thought the playful rabbit design, destined for Mischa’s garden was fantastic!
As the week concluded, Mischa shared an informative presentation detailing her learnings and experiences. We take immense pride in hosting Dream Placement students each year, offering young Cumbrians the opportunity to engage with potential future employers. It’s a rewarding way to contribute to shaping and inspiring the next generation of engineers. We now look forward to the celebration event on 14th March.
