BENDALLS APPRENTICES WIN AT GEN2 AWARDS

On Friday 7th February 2020, Gen2 held the National Apprenticeship Week Grand Final where 350 people attended to see 39 teams of talented young learners compete in a range of engineering and entrepreneurial challenges, testing their skills.

Jacob Lancaster, Jake Baty, Jamie Armstrong and Logan Armstrong of Bendalls Engineering, alongside two other Gen2 apprentices, won the Engineering Sculpture Challenge. The sculpture is pictured alongside the apprentices, Sean Saunders (MD) and Mark Johnston (Production Manager). They worked as a team and used their design, fabrication and welding skills to create ‘The Kangaroo’.

Jacob Lancaster was a double winner having also secured the prize for ‘Best Weld’ which involved each participant being judged on their method, technique and health & safety procedures.
